THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN & FAMILIES NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT!

As we are all aware, numerous & severe financial cuts to social service programs have continued to occur throughout our state, however we must stand up as social workers for the most vulnerable populations!

The Department of Children and Families (DCF) is proposing a request within the budget to hire over 100 social workers to help reduce overwhelming caseloads & provide greater assistance. NASW-CT stands behind and supports DCF’s proposal to hire more social workers in order to better serve the children and families who greatly depend on reliable services.  DCF is hiring MSW & BSW professionals for these positions.
