Fairfield Private Practice is holding a Regional Network Meeting on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Westport Town Hall, CT (Room 201) from 12:00PM to 1:30PM. Gender Equity and Closing the Justice Gap will be presented.

As there is no right to representation in the civil courts, a Justice Gap exists full of a tremendous need for advocacy program services. The Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF) has a unique expertise and commitment to women, delivering innovative services to fill this gap in the legal community. CWEALF is the leading champion in our state; advocating for, and empowering women and girls! During this workshop participants will learn about CWEALF’s strategies to advance equity; including creating systemic change, providing legal education, and advocating for how to take action for clients in need of legal services!

NASW/CT and Fairfield Private Practice are pleased to offer this workshop presented by Kate C. Farrar, MPA, Executive Director of Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund. Kate has led this organization in advancing women’s rights and opportunities through statewide coalition, direct development, strategic planning and fundraising. Kate has also facilitated program implementation, designed curriculum and served as a spokesperson for several advocacy initiatives.

Meetings are free and open to all disciplines.
