Fairfield Private Practice is holding a Network Meeting entitled Grief Recovery Method. Grief impacts our lives at one time or another. It is vital for social workers to understand how loss effects the lives of clients. Continuing education in this area is especially important since there are more than forty types of loss, from the passing of a loved one to ‘empty-nest’ syndrome. During this network meeting, social workers will discover unique tools to assist clients who are processing grief.

Educational objectives include:

-Defining grief, examples and natural responses

-Discussion of misinformation

-Consideration of helpful statements and misstatements

-Understanding the impact of unresolved grief

-Learning how the Grief Recovery Method can help
