to work effectively with this population.

Presented by Sharon Young, PhD, LCSW and Jennifer A. Lewis, LCSW

Sharon Young is an associate professor of social work at Western Connecticut State University and a NASW Member.  She has presented and published research on the adjustment of veterans to college and teaching military social work.  As an Embedded Clinician in the Connecticut National Guard and faculty advisor to the student veteran group on campus, Sharon integrates her knowledge of military culture, research, and practice.
Jennifer Lewis is a private practice clinician in Windsor, CT.  She has been providing clinical services to military service and family members through the Military Support Program since 2007.  She is also an Embedded Clinician in the Connecticut National Guard.  Jennifer works in Veteran’s Affairs at CCSU and facilitates a group for student veterans and outreach programming.  She is also an adjunct faculty member at University of Saint Joseph and ECSU and is a clinical preceptor in the USJ MSW Program.

Approved for 2 CECs by NASW/CT and meets the Veterans Services requirement for license renewal.
