The Who, What, Where and Why of Having Children through Surrogacy is a valuable workshop presenting a holistic approach to having children through surrogacy. This workshop addresses the pros and cons, concerns and challenges, ethical and legal issues of surrogacy, and the psychosocial well-being of individuals, families and communities.

 Educational objectives:

  • Defining surrogacy; traditional versus gestational
  • Discussion of frequently asked questions including reasons why individuals turn to surrogacy
  • Learning the process, requirements and financial costs that parents and surrogates face
  • Understanding the role of professionals assisting parents and surrogates
  • Knowing the ethical issues and legal challenges that often arise
  • Consideration of arguments in favor and in opposition to surrogacy

Attorney at Law, Victoria Ferrara presents this informative workshop. Victoria earned her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York. Including an independent practice, Victoria worked as an associate attorney and staff attorney within the New York State and U.S. government. She currently practices at the The Ferrara Law Group, P.C. and Worldwide Surrogacy Specialists, LLC. Needless to say, Victoria is an expert in many areas of legal practice. Throughout her education and work experience, Victoria has achieved in depth knowledge in the areas of Assisted Reproduction Technology Law; surrogacy, parentage orders, and advising clients who have children through assisted reproduction.
