Acute and Long-Term Clinical Work in the Wake of Trauma

Working since the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School with children, families, first responders, and colleagues in the mental health field, this panel has much to share about their clinical experiences.  Moderated by Karen Alter-Reid, PhD, the panel will address the short and long term issues facing children and their families, spiritual issues that arise in the course of disaster treatment, forming and maintaining a trauma recovery network, EMDR and somatic experiencing work and trauma treatment.  There will be ample time allotted for questions and sharing.
