Dept. Social Services to Reduce the Reimbursement Rate by 10%

DSS has proposed reducing the reimbursement rates for primary care providers by 10%. NASW/CT submitted testimony opposing the reduction. NASW/CT is concerned that any reduction in reimbursement rates will reduce the number of primary care providers willing to accept Medicaid and that such a reduction will lead to less access to providers and increased utilization of Emergency Departments at a higher cost to the State.
