“Legal and Ethical Issues in

Clinical Social Work Practice”

Join us for an overview of Legal principles related to clinical work. This workshop is designed to provide information to clinicians about how to manage client information to safeguard client privacy, to main control over clinical records; and to act within legal expectations and clinical practice standards when disclosing client information. Participants will learn how to incorporate HIPAA protections into their practice policies, including situations for disclosure without consent, responding to subpoenas, and testifying when needed.
