This troubling issue can wreak havoc with a person’s life…but there is a solution.

This workshop is part of the Clinical Solutions Series sponsored by the NASW/CT Clinical Social Work Network, offering a one day Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia presentation by Gregg Jacobs, PhD.  A leading authority on the treatment of insomnia at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Dr. Jacobs will provide clinicians with a clinically validated protocol to improve sleep, reduce dependence on sleeping pills, and improve depression in patients with insomnia.

Cost is $99 for Members and $129 for non Members which includes coffee breaks, lunch on site, and a brief treatment manual.  It is approved for 6 CECs for LMSW’s, LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCs, and licensed psychologists.

Dr. Jacobs and his work have been featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Boston Globe; he has appeared on Good Morning America and the Today Show, and has been described as a “pioneer in the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia”.  This one day workshop enables clinicians to develop competence in CBT-I and they will receive a brief clinician’s treatment manual with the option of purchasing a more detailed manual at a reduced price.
