A unique and fascinating look at the food we eat and how it impacts our brains and our mental health.  Presented by Dr. Georgia Ede, Staff Psychiatrist at Smith College, nutrition researcher, writer, and speaker, the workshop will address the value of healthy eating habits in relation to mental health and how complementary and alternative medicines can enhance or replace pharmaceutical approaches while increasing energy and mental clarity and allowing for deeper engagement in the therapeutic process.  Clinicians will learn how to put to use immediately dozens of effective interventions for mental health disorders including simple assessment tools for nutritional deficiencies that contribute to anxiety, anger, and depression.  The presentation will be in 3 parts with plenty of time for discussion & questions in between.
