The Region 3 North Regional Network Meeting will be held on November 8, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at CI Cafe, 27 Siemon Company Drive, 3rd Floor, Watertown, CT. Amber Borges will present “Having A Conversation That Matters.” This program aims to help social workers become more comfortable starting and having conversations with patients that are chronically or terminally ill about their goals of care. Patients that develop clear goals that are supported by medical professionals and are reinforced by family members and caregivers have optimal quality of life, less suffering and access to information, and choice. As social workers, we need to act as their advocates and link them to such resources.

These meetings are free and open to all disciplines. The only fee is for clinicians who want a CE certificate, in which case, pre-registration is required.
