The Diversity of Diversity
Presented by Esther Howe, LCSW
Esther Howe has focused on multicultural issues since her doctoral studies (DSW/PHD 1996) and has worked and taught in the field of social work in educational settings since obtaining her masters in 1986. Since her arrival at Southern Connecticut State University in 1998 she has taught the diversity class in the graduate social work program at SCSU. It is by far her favorite course to teach. She focuses on “the diversity of diversity” and presents theories that both help explain prejudice as well as striving to reduce it.
