“The Capacity to Kvetch: Social Work Interventions to Facilitate Self Expression”

“Starting where the client is” presents challenges for every clinician, but how do you begin to define and implement the work when traditional response cues are not available?  Verifying we are understanding what our clients are trying to express is essential for effective clinical practice.  This program will present verbal and non-verbal techniques toward the goal of therapeutic growth.  Discussion will include using games, toys, and other media typical of “play therapy”, creative arts method, and computers.

Presented by Shelley Berman, LCSW, DCSW who is presently in private practice, is an experienced presenter, and is a Founder of the NASW/CT Region III Network.

Approved for 1.5 CECs by NASW/CT

Regional meetings are free unless you would like a CEC Certificate
in which case you need to register and pay in advance.
