The social work title protection bill is already providing positive results for clients in the public sector. The Division of Public Defender Services has posted a position for a social worker and is requiring a degree in social work due to the provisions of the title protection bill that addresses state social workers employment. This is the first time that the Public Defender office has required a degree in social work to be a social worker within the Division. The title protection bill is paying off!
