Eric Halpern, PharmD will present “CT Medical Marijuana”. Eric will discuss the laws and regulations for medical marijuana in Connecticut, what patients qualify, and how prescribers certify. Eric will discuss the pharmacists’s role with patient care and what patients can expect at a dispensary. Eric will talk about the different dosage forms available to patients and how they applicable for different symptoms. Educational objectives are: Outline the general structure of regulations for the CT Medical Marijuana Program; Discuss approved conditions for CTMMP, Discuss steps for prescriber certification of patients and prescriber eligibility to certify; the different components of medical cannabis; and Methods of consumption.
Network meetings are free and open to all disciplines. The cost for CECs is $10.00 for members, $25.00 for non-members. NASW/CT has approved this training for 2 CECs.
