“Life Lessons: Life Lessens”
What the Elderly Taught Me About Effective Therapeutic Interventions
How old do you want to be?  How do stereotypes of the aged influence their role in society and their access to resources?  What are effective strategies in the practice of clinical social work to overcome barriers built by sensory deficits, ageism, and fear of facing our own futures.  Exploring answers to these and other questions will be the crux of the presentation.  Individual and group exercises will be incorporated to increase practitioners’ awareness of and sensitivity to the aging process.

Presented by Shelley Berman, LCSW, DCSW, private practitioner and Founder of the Region III Network.

Approved for 1.5 CECs by NASW/CT

$10 NASW Members and $25 for non-members
