This presentation will address the addictive characteristics of technology as a whole and in particular, social media, cell phones, tablets and video gaming. It will include risk factors for addiction and guidelines for recognizing problematic use and treatment considerations. Clinicians will learn how to support healthy adaptive use of technology and combat overuse/addiction.
Approved for 1.5 CECs by NASW/CT. Meetings are free and open to the public; if CECs are desired, the cost is $10.00 for members and $25.00 for non-members.
