The Region 3 Network will continue their discussion of shame using the book “Understanding and Treating Chronic Shame: A Relational/Neurobiological Approach” by Patricia A. DeYoung. This will be the third in a series of five discussions on the topic. Reading the book is highly recommended and, to be meaningful, it is suggested attendees read the first three chapters prior to the February 2nd Zoom meeting. Using the book, chapter by chapter, is intended to provide a foundation for discussion of case studies of clients who have experienced shame as well as the clinical approaches taken by practitioners. While the meeting will be facilitated, the input and participation of all who attend is encouraged. If you missed the first two sessions, please feel free to join the group at this juncture although familiarity with the book will make the meeting more relevant.
