Understanding the Emotional Perspectives of Special Needs Parents and Caregivers is the next workshop brought to you by NASW’s Region III Network and will be presented by Lorraine Lazarus-Morley, LCSW.  This workshop will provide an overview of current demographics, including the foremost identified needs of families; discussion of challenges and rewards when working with special-need families; and, sharing of relevant resources. In addition, educational objectives include: (a) utilizing enhanced listening to affect distress, (b) broadening perspectives as to the ways families are impacted when there are special needs involved, (c) learning how to assist in creating a different attachment when in the process of adjustment.

Approved for 1.5 CECs by NASW/CT.  Meetings are free and open to all disciplines.

If CECs are desired, the cost is: Members $10 / Non-Members $25
