My name is Andrea Arauco and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Qualified Supervisor (LCSW-QS, LICSW) across the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts and Florida. I have specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health and hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certificate from Postpartum Support International. I have worked in a range of social work services and settings including, Child Welfare Investigations, Domestic Violence, Medical/Hospital Setting, Social Welfare, Community Mental Health, Private Practice (Individual/ Family Therapy) and in addition Advocacy and Case Management for mental health with their most vulnerable populations.
During my time as a qualified supervisor I have enjoyed being able to provide clinical guidance, mentorship and see clinical growth in my interns. I love the teaching part of being a supervisor and not to mention feeling a sense of fulfillment when I see my interns thriving in their clinical work. I read a quote that reminds me a lot of what supervision is all about and it states, “We rise by lifting others” and I believe that’s what supervision is all about. Helping you be your best self as a clinician in our field and feel proud and happy to do this work and serve our community.

Describe your current practice:
I'm an owner of a virtual group practice across the states of Florida, Connecticut and Massachusetts. My group practice is called Mamay In Bloom Counseling and we specialize in working with Women's Issues, Maternal Mental Health, Teens and Young Adults. We focus on individuals and their families going through major life transitions and use modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Focused- Cognitive behavioral Therapy to help them with obstacles and challenges of day to day life. My practice has a specialization in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders for which we continue to expand our learning and seeking continuing education on the matter to support mothers and their families more efficiently.
