Description of current practice:
My current practice provides individual therapy for adults. My passion is to use my EMDR experience to help people with past trauma. I tend to look at trauma in a broad sense---trauma can be life or death, but it can also be significant changes in our lives: relationship issues, loss, emerging mental illness, substance abuse, etc. EMDR can be used for any presenting problem, because we treat any current symptom, as deriving from the past-- a past trauma.
For those individuals that are not on board with EMDR, I also provide CBT, DBT, MI, and relapse prevention.
In addition, I have been providing individual supervision (for internships and toward licensure) for the past 10 years. I absolutely love supervising, it can be so fulfilling, and I have received such positive feedback from my prior students. It is a pleasure to help out the upcoming social workers and therapists out there!
